It’t that time of the summer again. Swimming Lessons!
So the first day was the morning after we got home from Oregon. Lessons were every day for two weeks. So this is a post that brings you future pictures. I want an account of what that daily activity was like in one place.
I sat in the shade of the big slide every day, so as to be near enough to the kids if they needed me, but also its the best shade in at the pool.
Lucas with his teacher Andy, and two other children in the class. He was really struggling swimming on his back.
Mirah’s first day was also not great.
A few days in, I wised up and got the kids goggles, and it started getting better. Here is Mirah and her class of five kids, and her teacher Morgan.
Luke’s teacher told me on the first day of class she was only willing to teach him if he was willing to learn. 🙁
So by day three when he was starting to enjoy it, I was relived.
Getting out of the pool was always D R A M A.
Last day of class was total throw away day.
They played Marco Polo in Luke’s class.
Mirah’s class dove for rings.
I mean her teacher didn’t even get in the pool.
At the end of the last few days of lessons, Luke’s class did the diving board.
He freaking loved it.
As severe as his teacher was, she got in the water and engaged with the kids.
I mean-Mirah’s teacher…ugh.
One more set of lessons in the books.
