Saturday morning, bright and early. You find Karl and me, on the subway again. Unlike New York Subwyas, all the cars are joined in one, long, tube you can access from end to end.
A 20 minute ride later, we made it to the market. Check out this UFO house! We saw one on the the James May show.
We made it to the flea market, as it was getting started.
The stalls were filled with incredible french things. Old pictures and vintage photos and home goods.
These antique toy cars made me wish Dad and Lucas were with us to check them all out.
So many radical antiques. Even this cool stall that had amazing letters and road signs.
We stopped for breakfast at a “taco shop” where I got a hot turkey wrap. Should have gotten a curry.
We went back to shopping. Got our suivoneers for the kids. I wanted to get these shoes for Lucas…but I didn’t.
I DID however get myself a beret. 🙂 Karl thought it was too touristy. I however, thought it was a dream come true and I was LOVING IT!
Back to our neighborhood, we headed over to get a well deserved croissant.
And found the square that it faces filled with vendors selling cheeses, meats, vegetables, flowers, jams, and more.
Yes, we were back at La Maison d’Isabelle. The baggett we purchased that day was especially delicious. I broke off a large piece and it cracked with heat, and sprayed flour and it was magic.
We took our loads of goodies, and headed up the hill.
