Pioneer Day last year, I ran in a 5 K with my Primary Presidency, we went to Park City and road on the Alpine slides slides with Maryn who was visiting, and then in the evening we did fireworks outside our house. It was a full fun day! Like a pretty amazing day.

This year, we lit off all of our left over fireworks after everyone had had a bath. Everything is smaller, and simpler and sadder somehow.

The kids and Karl were just happy to be lighting stuff on fire.

We did all of this before dinner, which was just corn we had purchased on the side of the road.
