The Babymoon

I hit my 34 week mark on Saturday.
To celebrate/ escape life as hermits, Karl took me on a grand adventure.
To Herber City/ Midway UT.
If you have never been there, it is a quant little Swiss area of Utah, 40 miles or so North East of Provo.

We slept in, striaghten up the house and got into town a bit after lunch time. I, being nearly 8 month preganat was starving and had to pee, so we stopped at a place that took our fancy:

It was the home made pies that sold it to Karl, and yes, I had the chicken fried steak and scones. They were all amazing. Karl’s strawberry cream pie was delicious.
We couldn’t check into our hotel for a few hours after our arrival, so we went to a sweet thrift store and got some AWESOME things.
We checked in to the homestead.

We got settled in, and then went exploring.
There were all kids of weird long halls.

There was a golf course, and coi pond.

Then the main event:
The Homestead Crater.

We hiked around and then up to the top.
Karl got tired of my slow pace so he ran ahead and to the top without me.

There were a lot of stairs.
It was a slow physical feat, but I did it!

The view from the top was quite lovely.

So the crater. It was so cool! Here was the entrance.

On our walk, we found this diagram of the crater. Our hike took us up to the top, and there was an opening, but there was so much fencing and chicken wire you could hardly see down.

The water was wonderfully warm, not hot, just warm.
The room was warm too:

It was a good thing to, because we were ready for some swimming!

We got snorkeling gear, and these funny vests and fins.

In the water.

The swim was so fun. You could see pretty far down. There was even a fake crocodile statue about 30 feet down, which kind of freaked me out. The whole crater water is about 65 feet deep. We soked, and swam for about an hour.

So fun.

We had dinner at the hotel restaurant, and went swimming in the pool and soaked in the mineral pool.
Before midnight, we headed into town to get Easter dinner stuff and easter basket things.
