Well our adventure doggie dreams continued as we left the house on Halloween. We didn’t do anything TOO crazy. Well, maybe a little crazy. The newest piece of our adventure kit had arrived. Luna’s new doggie life jacket.
Doesn’t she look amazing????
Karl had envisioned going out on his Kayak with her, since before he even purchased it. With some effort, he dropped the boat into the water, and I handed Luna down to him.
They were slow at first…
But once she got settled, they were off!
CUTIES!!!!
We weren’t sure if she was into it.
But the river split from the trail, and I had two crazy adventure kids to keep an eye on. The weather has turned cold, and all the leaves that were just a week ago yellow have turn brown. Still lovely, just not golden.
Luna seemed to be getting her sea legs as we got a glimpse of her from the trail.
Karl decided to pull in and say hi a little closer.
My Mirah, looking hard core with her walking stick.
Lucas didn’t want to get wet. He did want to get something out of the water though. Maybe some algae?
It was at this moment, Luna decdied she wanted to come to us on the shore and she jumped out of the boat. The problem was that there was little shore exactly where she was, and she got stuck in some branches and couldn’t get out. Karl saved her, thankfully the water was calm there, and she had her life vest.
The water was cold, and poor Luna was shivering.
We needed to get her back to the car and wrapped in a towel. So we turned back.
Lucas found a big old stick that he used as a gun.
Back at the car…
We got her in a towel, and turned on the heater. She was right as rain in minutes.
Got this terrible news when we were driving home:
2020 Strikes again.
