She is getting snugglier (not a real word 🙂 ) by the day. I am really starting to feel that she knows me and loves me. She loves her dad too.
Our days have been full of babysitting and packing up our apartment to move. I think I have mentioned it before, but if not, Karl and I are moving again. 🙂 We were hired to be managers at our complex here in Orem. We will move into the managers apartment this weekend! We are so grateful for this opportunity. Getting it all done before Christmas is a major bummer. It has made getting Christmas time stuff done so much harder. But we have ventured out, and done it. Becasue I heard some once say something to the tune of:
“The key living a happy and fulfilled life is continuing to work even when you are sick and tired.”
I never regret pushing myself to get out and enjoy life.
So this week was full of stuff like that.
Monday we got all dolled up left Mirah with her wonderful Aunt and Uncle and went to the Qualtirics “black tie” Christmas party. No Caribbean trip won this year, but we did have delicious filet mignon and they gave us a very generous Christmas bonus.
Wednesday we went out together as a little family for Mirah’s first time at Temple Square. I was able to get pictures!
We bundled up little lady nice and warm!
We listened to the Christmas story and to the voice of our beloved Prophet Thomas S Monsen testify of the life and mission of the Savior, and challenge us to do more, and change in faith.
The lights are beautiful as always. We had a great time seeing the square.
Mirah loved it. She loved the people and the lights. She just smiled and smiled.
We walked through the City Creek Center, where we parked our car.
Oh, our friends Tia and Kevin had their new baby this week, and I baby sat for them. That was fun. It was really fun to see a brand new baby. She is the first new born I have had a good look at since Mirah was born. Funny thing is that she is the same length and weight as Mirah was when she was born. I sat holding Mirah, and saw little Mckenzie and it is so crazy to see how big my little girl has gotten.
We were with the boys again on Thursday, always fun.
Saturday Chelsea and I went to see the Hobbit together! Oh it was amazing. I love my sister, we had such a great time at the movie.
Later that day, Karl and Mirah and I headed over to Nitsy’s house to continue a tradition started on my mission: Making and eating spud nuts and watching It’s a Wonderful Life, and crying. Even Nick was not immune from the love and magic of that movie.
Today, well we moved to our new ward, and spent the day with Chelsea. Now we are watching Mr. Kruger’s Christmas, while Mirah sleeps. Christmas time is so much fun. This week is going to be nuts. Between Chelsea’s birthday the move, and the other activities we have planned we are going to be so busy. Better busy than not. Hope you are all having a great holiday season too!
