Karl’s 27th

It was a work day, and Karl wouldn’t slow his roll even to celebrate his birthday. We got up that morning a little early, and opened a present:

Among cards and well wishes from his Grandma’s he found his first present:

A little tank that he had hinted every time we were at Target for the past two months, that we wanted. He played with it all the way out to the car, on the car, and in the car.

I was able to get a city deal for the local Provo Restaurant:

It is RIDICULOUSLY expensive, so we have never been. Karl will probably never go with me again. He ordered :

Parfet:

I got the Spinach potato pancakes, sausage, and eggs.

It was really good.
We both went to work, because we had such a big breakfast, we both skipped lunch. I did take a little trip over to his office to bring him ballons a soda and a Snickers.

I also brought him his tank, which he had forgotten in the car.

After work we headed home and he opened the rest of his presents:

His biggest gift was another city deal, to go hang gliding at the point of the mountain.
For dinner we went to Uchi, a Teppanyaki grill in Provo. We had steak and scallops.

Karl, I love you.

One more stop at a classic Provo local.

The Malt Shoppe
Having said that, I will never go back. The service was terrible, the place was filthy, and the food, was GROSS!

Waiting…almost 20 minutes later:

Happy Birthday Karl! I love you. I am grateful you were born 27 years ago.

  1. You should have gone to the creamery on 9th instead. Yumma yumma yumma!

I am interested to hear about the hang gliding. Nick would NEVER agree to go, but I would love to try it. Or parasailing.
