That Wednesday morning we got up and packed up the car. We were just going to sneak out and say a quiet goodbye. When we got upstairs Lee and Ann had been up and made a delicious breakfast. It was so kind. There were lots of hugs and hand shakes and most of all Lee made me promise to see him again soon.
We said goodbye, and the last thing he said to me was, “see you next year.”
There was so much to think about on the drive back south. We were really lucky, we got out of town with out really hitting any traffic.
We were in Portland outside Landy’s work 15 minutes before our scheduled 11:30 meet up time.
With enthusiasm, and gusto- there she was!
She had an hour for lunch. So we walked over to a little ramen joint around the corner from her office. Mirah was excited to be seated next to her Auntie.
Everyone but Karl got ramen.
(here is a terrible picture of Landy.)
My bowl.
Mirah’s.
Readers of this blog will know that Mirah, well she LOVES all things noodle soup. So ramen is her cup of tea.
No matter what I did I couldn’t get Lucas to use a for. He really wanted to just use chopsticks.
Karl got a pork sandwich.
Mirah just couldn’t get enough of those noodles.
My happy cute lady.
Landy had to run on ahead so we paid and went back to our car that was parked by her building.
Her office is expanding.
We then did one of our most favorite things, THRIFT SHOPPING!
The Good Will is so radical.
I actaully got several cool things. There were also some other things that we had to say no to, that we just SO nuts:
We didn’t have enough time to dig as much as we would have liked to. Haha, only a couple of hours. 🙂 The kids were super done however. So we left to meet up with Landy at the OMSI.
