The Kids Right Now

I feel like all of my posts are explaining right now that Lucas is at that age where life is totally tough.
But it’s cute, and even though he is SO busy, it is cute.

Like this week when he pulled all of the wipes out of the container while I was in the bathroom.

He is equally cute though. He is being more and more social.
Like when Karl was trying to trick him into eating. He is getting a little more picky, so we are having to keep him a little more engaged as he eats.
This was his most recent tactic.
It worked!
Hahahahaha.
Cuties.
Lucas is talking more. He is saying Dog, and Dad, and Duck. Haha. He will say mama. But NEVER when he is asked. He is starting to pucker his lips when he kisses. He will mimic sounds and motions. He totally says, “No, no, NO,” while shaking his head back and forth, or while wagging his finger. It is really cute. He signs more and all done and milk and he is walking and running like maniac. He is a total pro on the stairs. He goes up and down the stairs on his own everyday.

Mirah is getting more creative. It is so cool to see her imagine and create.
Here she was at the park with friends and they found a bunch of garbage birthday stuff at the pavilion. They made a little party for themselves. Mirah found this gross old ballon and made it into a necklace. I told her it was garbage and we needed to throw it away.

This BROKE he sweet heart. She would only allow me to throw it away if I took a picture of it for her first.
Here she is show ing me how the necklace worked.

Trying to pull it together.

Showing me all of the beauty.
So many tears. She cried and cried.
These kids can ride in the car carts together. The love it.

When you give them treats, they love it even more.
Oh, then church is NUTS right now:
It was stake conference this week.
So we were watching in a corral of metal chairs in the primary room.
Even so, things got REAL.
Mirah. I picked the dress. Mirah picked the tights, and bow.
Yep. Karl’s face says it all.
Life is REAL crazy right now.
And I love it. I just FREAKING love these kids!

  1. Your life looks like ours right now- especially church! I feel like every sunday I leave the chapel a sweaty mess covered in their snacks, stickers, and baby barf!
