A part of my life that I don’t blog a lot about is the Primary Presidency that I am currently serving in. I have been serving in this group of women for about 3 years now. I love them ALL so much. Kristin, the president, thought my birthday would be a good enough reason to get us all out on their boat for a night. So this week we, with all of our spouses, we went out to Utah Lake on the boat!

We got out on the water and it was a total blast.

The plan was to have dinner on the boat. Ryan grilled us up burgers. They were really good.

The brought Kayaks too. Karl was in his element.

David and Sydney were excited to get into the water.

When they got out, I was excited to get in!

When it was time to eat, I just stayed in the kayak and had my burger.

They brought cakes onto the boat and sang me happy birthday too!

When it was time to go in, Karl ended up rowing the Kayaks back to the shore so we could have a more comfortable ride back in.

 

There were HUGE swarms of bugs swooping in the are as we left the lake.

We happily got packed into the boat together.

We had a great time.

The night ended on a weird note. A sad note, but we didn’t know why until the next day. While driving home Sydney and David, who had driven out with us, got word that their Brother in Law, Brain Kennedy, had died suddenly in the hospital from heart failure.
